Nationals Prep Workshop – Sunday, December 7, 2025 Get ready for the Nationals with our special prep workshop led by Grandmaster Max Dlugy! Designed for kids ages 5–16yo, this one-day intensive will focus on tournament preparation, advanced strategy, time management, and practical game skills. Students will train with puzzles, practice games, and personalized feedback to boost their confidence and performance before the big event.

Workshop Focus
A high-performance one-day training designed to maximize competitive results.
Students will work on:

* Competitive Readiness — clock handling, mindset, and practical strength

Two Training Groups
Placement based on USCF rating:
* Group A: 1200–1600
* Group B: 1600–2200

Turn the holiday break into a week of growth and fun! Our Winter Break Chess Workshop gives kids ages 5–16 the chance to immerse themselves in chess every day with engaging lessons, puzzles, strategy sessions, and plenty of playtime. Students will learn opening principles, explore chess history, and strengthen tricky, tactical thinking while improving their overall game. Families can choose daily registration or full-week enrollment. 

Celebrate the holiday with a full day of learning and play at Chess Max Academy! Our MLK Day Chess Workshop for ages 5–16 will feature opening principles, tactical puzzles, strategic thinking exercises, and inspiring lessons from chess history. Students will sharpen their skills, practice in friendly games, and build confidence — all in one exciting day of chess.

Train with a world-class chess player before the big event! This special prep workshop, led by Grandmaster Max Dlugy, is designed for students ages 5–16 who want to sharpen their game for the Saratoga tournament. Kids will benefit from tournament preparation with one of the strongest coaches in the U.S., practical strategy lessons, opening preparation, time management skills, and focused tactical training. With personalized guidance from a Grandmaster, students will gain the confidence and competitive edge they need to perform their best.
